As a supplement to your academic transcript, colleges/universities rely on standardized test scores to further support scholastic potential. Although admission committees regard your application as a whole, it is important to score as best as you can to support the other components of your application in order to be as competitive as possible. Whether you are taking AP exams or the SAT, you should have ample time to prepare. Preparation is key. Each standardized exam has a specific format so become familiar with them. Expand your vocabulary, study content. Consider preparation courses and books. Prep materials have the potential to be very expensive, however, be sure to exhaust your free resources. Take advantage of the various workshops and reading materials available to you at the DDC.
