Volunteer

Volunteer with DDC

For nearly 60 years, our program has been successfully rooted in mutual education—in double discovery. Being a volunteer at DDC means using your skillset to help first generation college-bound students from under-resourced communities achieve their aspirations. In the process, you’ll learn from the unique perspectives and experiences of under-resourced low-income students from the New York City area.

If you are interested in making a difference in a young person’s life, creating community-wide change, and building life-long relationships, DDC is the place for you. As little as 2 hours a week will make a difference in our students’ lives and in yours!

Non-Columbia University volunteers should send a recent resumé and two professional references to [email protected]

Requirements

Volunteer opportunities are open to all community members over the age of 18, current Columbia & Barnard students, and DDC alumni.
